This will be my 18th year as part of the Sheridan School Board. I worked for Macy’s as a store engineer and have for the past 13 years. I am currently retired. I have had two kids work their way through the Sheridan School District. My son Briston went on to graduated from Southern Oregon with a major in International Business. My daughter spent her junior and senior year at SHS and just finished teaching abroad. My start in the school board was unusual. In 2002, the board had a recall and I was drafted. But more than that, I felt like I could make a change. 18 years later… I am still here. I believe all students should get an education. That may not end for all students in college, however, students should have a professional pathway in which they feel successful and enjoy.
